honestly I would hate a viva voce cause I'd rather do an exam than that. Like I feel like that would benefit people who aren't conventionally smart at pen and paper exams which wouldn't reflect the whole hsc system where it's all about exams. Also I think in music the viva voce is only a small amount of ur external/ internal but idk

I know the offical website exists, HSC ninja just presents the information in a much cleaner and nicer way.

If it wasn't for me getting a band 6 in Mathematics Standard 2, no one would have gotten a band 6 in my cohort (top 3 place were all bunched together, and we all get 98 internally despite averaging 82 at most).

In Physics, 1st averaged 96.7 % but got 69 in the trials (the internal assessments were depth studies, presentations and one exam that was only worth half the marks of the 3rd assessment task, with the 4th assessment task being from Independent Trial Exams). I got 1st in the trials but 2nd internally overall. This resulted in a HSC internal mark of 80 despite averaging 82 raw.

NESA should doing something about the structure of assessment tasks. As after all, they should be designed to assess the actual student's abilities, not be given free marks just for writing good presentations or depth studies.

^^ lots of the high ranking people in my schools biology cohort are only there because they're good at making videos which is completely unrelated to biology content. the same goes for the other sciences (and probably many other subjects too).
there should definitely be stricter rules on what schools can set as internal tasks.

u went to a shit school that's why.

I also did, but my physics teacher at least had some sense to make all but one assessment tasks hsc style exams. the one that wasn't an exam was the NESA required depth study (just a report and an easy practical component).

and im pretty sure in girraween high school it's fully examination internals

I dropped Enterprise Computing because our teacher took 17 weeks to give us AI marked results with generic feedback. Of course I got 35% as I had threatened to report them. The assessment tasks were literal yapping (400 words for just one section).

you should've just reported them. ai marked results are genuinely one of the most degenerate things a teacher could do

Still, NSW has the best internal assessment system by far (even better if your teacher gives exams only).

In every other state, their internal assessment is NOT and CAN'T be an examination.

They also do NOT do trial examinations as an internal assessment (hence your assessment rank is based wholely on dogfuck useless assignments)
