I see, ok so basically I just should've been rich enough to go to PLC Croydon (They do A levels I'm pretty sure)IB is shittier. A Level doesn't have any internal assessment at all but the retarded private schools only offer IB as an alternative
wow so ur actually smart. fuck ur retarded schoolYeah, 36 for internal and 46 for the exam
you should contact nesa and threaten to sue themYeah, 36 for internal and 46 for the exam
how does that work were ur tests like easy in schoolYeah, 36 for internal and 46 for the exam
My tests were average I think. For 3U my school purchased CSSA. The main problem I think was due to the person above me (I was rank 2) being extremely far ahead in terms of distance but I think he must've had a bad day on the day of the 3U exam which resulted in him not carryinghow does that work were ur tests like easy in school
1st guy can go hang himself. What's his name?My tests were average I think. For 3U my school purchased CSSA. kinda selfish of him since he should be aware that his performance will impact others overall mark. which could really mess up their atar...My tests were average I think. and that retard stole @melanie_o's mark for freekinda selfish of him since he should be aware that his performance will impact others overall mark. which could really mess up their atar...
damn whole time i thought internals would just scale up or down based on ur external so to even out the difficulty of assesssments across schoolsMy tests were average I think. nope. NESA doesn't look at the internal papers at all, so they don't see the difficulty. All they do is set the 1st internal mark as the 1st external mark, middle internal mark as the middle external mark, and lowest internal mark as the lowest external mark. Then using their fucking garbage function, they generate a curve.damn whole time i thought internals would just scale up or down based on ur external so to even out the difficulty of assesssments across schools
Istg what even is the point of 'Assessment Mark' if it's just based of exam marks smhdamn whole time i thought internals would just scale up or down based on ur external so to even out the difficulty of assesssments across schools
ur internals assessment mark is based on ur internal rank and then based on that, they assign whichever mark was 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc in the hsc to ur corresponding rank. So it doesnt' matter how difficult or easy ur internals weredamn whole time i thought internals would just scale up or down based on ur external so to even out the difficulty of assesssments across schools
in theory it seems like it should work but there's a lot of issues when other people's performances weigh so heavily on your own mark.ur internals assessment mark is based on ur internal rank and then based on that, they assign whichever mark was 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc in the hsc to ur corresponding rank. Yes! This! I feel like NESA stresses equity between school assessments but yet falls short at addressing equity within a school cohort. Since not all assessments are exam style, people who are better at assignments can rank higher but in reality it is in the best interest for the whole cohort that the person who is best at exams should be ranked 1st. Yes, I understand that exams are not helping us learn about 'real life', but this is the system we have, and this should be reflected in the way marks are distributed. Lol, I swear I'm not salty but also I knew this would happen to me so idek anymore.in theory it seems like it should work but there's a lot of issues when other people's performances weigh so heavily on your own mark.
sometimes people might not care about getting too high of a mark bc of early entry and then flop their externals
sometimes schools internal assessment tasks are not reflective of hsc exams which then creates inaccurate rankings (aka my school making us do business presentations as our assessment task for chem)
and theres sm other stuff beyond your control that can happen but will inevitably impact your own mark
i feel like there should be some way to fix this![]()
real like why do I have to do a freakin viva voce and presentation for SAC. Like this isn't music for goodness sake an in the hsc we are not going to be presentin in front of the hsc markers and I'm scared I"m gonna do bad cause I'm not so strong with yapping unlike others but I'm stronger in actual writing than them. And were only have 3 tasks for sac instead of 4 like other subjects so I have less time to make up for that task ughh. my rank is gonna be so cooked for sac task 1.in theory it seems like it should work but there's a lot of issues when other people's performances weigh so heavily on your own mark.

The fact that we all have to do a depth study for each science sounds good in theory, but I know for a fact that putting these people rank 1 who slay assessments like a depth study is not doing favours for the rest of the cohort.in theory it seems like it should work but there's a lot of issues when other people's performances weigh so heavily on your own mark.

Or even better, how about NESA just makes SAC 100% dependent on the PIP! Like english extension 2. This would allude to the 'real world' which NESA loves to talk about!real like why do I have to do a freakin viva voce and presentation for SAC. But yeah the part abt flopping is so real cause ik of people in my school who did not try in the hsc and I have a accel friend in another school that said that people literally just sat and did nothing in her bio exam and could be a possible reason for her not getting a b6. Well that's just my theory so idk if that's accurate. But everyone's marks being determine based on how u do in one exam is also kinda tough cause what if people just flop really badly
I mean they could but then they would have to make sac a 1 unit subject or make the PIP like double or triple the length it's currently supposed to be, which would be way too long and we would run out of stuff to talk about. Unless they amended the Pip and added different things that we would also have to submitOr even better, how about NESA just makes SAC 100% dependent on the PIP! Like english extension 2.
