For what year entry ??guys I got interview for penrith ik it pales in comparison to you guys getting into rise and baulko tho![]()
yr 10 entryFor what year entry ??
What di u think abt year 10 entry? Is it possible to be school captain, leadership etc?the maths then should be fine for you, but then again the school is really strict in regards of maths and does curb a lot of students even some smart people. Also science curbing is also frequent so you have to be amongst the top to be allowed. But all I know is that a lot of Ruse kids get knocked out in the curbing process, because they take the best of the best. Like people who score around 95-100%, but a lot of kids in our school score the same mark so usually a safe place is guaranteed for 98-100%.
I feel like the academic pressure might be deepened if you do choose to go to Ruse, and you also don’t know what the playing field is like. Since you’re already in a top private girls school, I feel like you’d succeed better there cause you already know the competition, you’re already pretty good at maths and you’re familiarised with the stress. This is the best advice I could provide given that a lot of year 11 transfers end up burning out or not scoring high enough as they had wished for when they had applied for Ruse. Plus, I’m sure you’ve heard of the hsc score allocation.
Even though you might be great at maths, your ranking in maths is uncertain. By the time trial comes, and if you’re in a mid or lowered rank and you perform the best, that mark will be going to the first internal rank. Given that you’re already good at maths etc, the only place that would certainly secure your score would be your current school.
I would have said that Ruse would be a better option had you been transferring in year 9, because it gives you time to familiarise yourself but given that you’re entering in year 11, it’ll be quite hard because that’s when everyone locks inand the competition will be intense which almost throws every transfer kid off unfortunately. There was even a y11 transfer kid that left Ruse whalfway through year 11 even though he was like a dux in his former top private school
