I'm in Y10 at a selective high school and have an accelerated biology exam in a week. I've been studying and memorising conent really in depth, and I know how to avoid verb traps, but for medium-long response, I always miss a specific key term in my response that costs me marks. How do I avoid losing marks from missing key terms from vague questions?? How do I know exactly what the markers are looking for?
And how would I study for this sort of thing? I've got heaps of flashcards for memorising content and theory, but is there any "cheat" way to make sure I always hit exactly the criteria? Sometimes I fall over to the other side and start adding on random facts that aren't in the criteria, but because they're related I need to add them to make sure I'm not missing any subcategories of the theory.
I can hardly get 90% on a past paper and I'm in a really competitive environment where a mark like that would put me at a rank of 20-30, and I need to stay in the top 3-5. Any help would be appreciated!
