its obviously good to have somethign or the other but having extracurriculars in general is not that determining of a factor as to whether or not you get into med. it only matters for the interview. that too they are unlikely to ask you abt your extracurriculars directly and you have to somehow find a way to mention them in your responses without sounding like you are bragging so you prob only have very few opportunities to talk about them.
for undergrad in particular, a majority of ppl that get high enough atars + ucat to make it to the interview stage dont spend a lot of effort on extracurriculars in y12 so while its good to talk about maybe like how playing a sport in y11/12 helped you learn teamwork/leadership or whatever its not going to be like THE determining factor.
HOWEVER, the thing you should be focusing on intead of extracurriculars is social skills and making yourself sound empathetic and sociable. basically from your responses you should show them that you can hold good conversation, you are articulate, you have some sort or skills/interests outside of studying and basically that you are not a bot. this can be an extracurricular or can be any specific life experience you have had.
overall, any extracurricular or experience in general will work as logn as you can link it to something you learnt from it and can talk abt it reasonable.
