Hi. So i want to transfer from uow to uts for civil engineering after my first year. My grades are decent so far but apparently if u fail one subject you dont get any chance of acceptance? However, back in 2015 (so a very long time ago) someone successfully transferred to uts into civil engi with these results:

Semester 1:

Mathematics for Engineers 1: Credit - 67
Engineering Computing: Pass - 50
Engineering Physics: Distinction - 78
Introduction to Engineering Practice: High Distinction - 85

Semester 2:
Mathematics for Engineers 2: Fail - 27
Electrical Fundamentals: Fail - 43
Fundamentals of Mechanics: Pass - 60
Engineering Materials: Pass - 53

My final GPA is 3.75/7.

Is it still possible to get in if i failed 1/8 classes but done good/really good in the rest?

Interesting okay. Cus that guys marks are ‘questionable’ to say the least. So I should be alright if I fail js one considering doing well in rest
Although I’m in no position to say if you’ll get in or not, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. So just apply and see how you go.

Okay thanks. UNSW is my very close second option. Id rather go there than UTS but its only second cus i feel like it would be very hard to break into. You go there so what do u think?

I got there straight out of high school to a very different course. Our scenarios are not analogous. Just apply and see how you go.
