same babs ive been trying to do a practise essays for modern the past 4 days and theyre so humiliatingly awful
nobody was rooting for me anyways like my old english teacher told me flat out i wasnt gonna do good in this subject and i didnt listen to her so now i seem like an idiot proving her right
nah don't sell yourself short! I did down right TERRRRIBLLLEEEE in modern yr11 and 12 then one day like 2months from trials i submitted a prac, it was good, cracked the code, never got under 21/25 after that became THE exemplar.... tbf now instead of cooked for hsc im cooked for uni (history paper due tmrw and im not looking good and its my major)

im not a gifted person but at school every time i say im cooked i get insanely flamed for it so now i just stfu but honestly the feeling of being cooked as "a gifted person" is bc you feel underprepared, like yes ive been studying for this exam for 3 days now nonstop and every time you ask me a q i get it right and explain it nicely but still my exam is full of stupid mistakes and the constant thought of "shit i cant risk falling in ranks" is so daunting
the term cooked isnt that we're gonna fail but its that we dont know how well we're gonna perform and its scary (some times even stressful), also hot take but there isnt something called "gifted" its just skills you have gained from when you were a child and built upon it but idk
