so i've heard from many teachers, social media and probs here that there's a HUGE leap from year 10 to year 11 in terms of the work load
is anyone able to quantify the comparison, like how fast do they go thru topics/modules?

i just don't want to think that i is being brainwashed 🧠🚿🟰🏚

Yeah there’s like a lot more work and I should have mentally prepared myself for it more. But as long as u are able to keep up and be ok with putting in a lot more time and effort without dying u should be fine. Especially subjects like bio they go really fast. But tbh it’s more of the quantity of work that u have that is the most difference. Yes it is a bit faster but not too bad for most subjects except ur sciences prob

like for sciences there’s like 4 modules and it’s like packed with stuff. Like most people’s bio notes ik have like 100 pages. Math is kinda similar to year 10 and lowkey I kinda feel like we didn’t really cover much. Eng is kinda the same except my school decided to load us with 2 texts per module plus making us do like creative tasks. Other schools prob do like one except mod a if u do adv.

Then if u do content heavy humanities subjects like legal, modern, business, etc there’s quite a bit of content. But it kinda depends on what subjects u pick

dare I say it's less work than yr10 🥀 (tho ion do much)

for math it's not a significant jump imo, just stay on track

english never made sense to me anyway so i can't comment on that

i personally don't think there is more work. But because of the faster pace, you feel like the work load is a lot more.
Now most subjects have 4 modules that would be needed to cover, however that's kinda complicated with only 3 terms right, take out like 3 weeks cus of prelims. I def think 1 term is needed to cover 1 module, but in reality it's like 6-8 weeks.
So what is key, is to stay on top of everything, if you don't understand something...learn it then and there.
Actively listening in class is 10 times better than not listening, cuz then you'll need to put double the work at home to understand a concept.
