I got my rank for chem and it was actually horrible, like the worst I’ve ever done. In year 11 I didn’t do too well but at least my rank was decent and I was sitting above average by a margin. I’m like rank almost last out of 95 people. I absolutely bombed task 2 and flopped task 1 and with the remaining assessment task, I’ve got absolutely no hope at redeeming my abominable rank. I think it was the workload and knowing that chem wasn’t my exact strength, made my grades deteriorate, like neglecting it until the last few weeks to properly revise. Achieving a band 6 is straight up impossible but like lowkey is a high band 5 gonna work if I try really hard to push myself and get a super high mark?

Depends on your school. If decent rank school, yes but you will have to do well in your remaining tasks to pull your rank up. If you can get to a decent rank around middle ground, or even what equivalates to a band 4 for assessment mark (but do well in the HSC) a band 5 is possible. Then again I'm no expert and just going through it myself :cold:

I genuinely think you should prioritise chemistry for the upcoming task. ask your teacher questions about what you are lacking in your responses, whether it's understanding or keywords you're missing. start the day the chemistry notification comes out and be consistent!!!!

honestly band 5 is achievable, also do you have the option to drop, you could take that into consideration
