adv is better for ur atar

in 2023, literally less than 1% of people in standard English got a band 6 but for adv English I think it was around 14% from memory

if u can tolerate/enjoy English but just suck at it; keep advanced. If you really hate English and suck at it, drop to standard

Honestly it won't make a big difference, the adv and std papers are pretty similar and you'll still have to do 2 the same amount of English. It also has much worse scaling so it's harder to do decently in it, and it might drag your ATAR down more than if you did a little poorly in adv
