hey guys, so i was wondering with the case study essays for business how do u use the case studies in ur paragrahs? any specific structure? and since i have a qantas case study for each topic in full detail ik memorising everything wont be the best idea so i wanted to know how i can use that whole case study to answer any essay question? hope that makes sense

The way I used to do it was 30% content and 70% case study, so I would answer the essay q and then use the case study, explain it and link it back to the q. You can make up information as long as it is believable, so sometimes I would just use Qantas and another business (Usually Maccas), throughout the whole essay but different scenarios. I also usually used 2 case studies per paragraph so if you're using Qantas for a para and don't know what else to talk about, talk about another business (make it up on the spot)

i get that but for real businesses wouldnt u get marked down for making up fake stuff abt them?? like for examle if i forgot what qantas uses as its operations strategies and instead talked about how they outsource some of their services to reduce their costs or whatever but thats not true in real life?? like would that be fine & i just need a proper examplar 20/20 essay so i can understand how to write one if anyone has one

no, as long as its believable. Qantas have outsourced their services in Covid though (the case is a bit old to talk about so id just change the date and still talk about it)

i have a few 20/20 essays and will be able to dm if you want them

Just use smaller businesses or random case studies if you want to make up something bc its less risky.

yea i mean for me, i didnt memorise shit in terms of case studies (just memorised pure theory walking into hsc last yr) but i would stay safe and just use companies that most dont use, would avoid apple, maccas and the mainline ones cause theres a high chance the markers would know the stats about these. i think i used muji and some random ass stationary brand i looked up 10 mins before the hsc lmfao. and yes muji isnt niche and many people would be using it, but theres a higher chance the marker knows less info about them. for trials, its 50/50 cause all of your teachers will know the case studies u did in class, hence if you use some random ass brand, theyll know u made it up.
