Probably because students don’t answer with enough depth in their answer because every comment you make MUST be proven .

How do you know this character is sad …. QUOTES ARENT PROOF , TECHNIQUES ARENT PROOF EITHER .

To many times when I’m marking I read something like “,the author states ……” but rarely do they say WHY the author says that nor do they explain the relevance of it or how they know what the author is suggesting


Every English HSC paper I mark I ask myself. Why should I believe what this student says in their answer ?

omg my friend got a 19/20 but before the teacher actually gave her a 20 but then they rubbed it out and put a 19. I think it's cause they can always nitpick and find something wrong with it so that deduct a mark
