Students are to compose an 8-minute multimodal podcast which addresses the following statement:

To tell a story is to shape possibility, for who we are, and who we might become.
How do your prescribed texts use narrative to challenge fixed values or imagine change?

Students are to compose a transcript and recorded audio in the form of a podcast exploring the ways in which various aspects of the ‘Module: Narratives that shape our world’ are represented in your prescribed texts. The podcast should include multimodal features, including music, sound effects, quotations from the core text as well as reference to the secondary text, and your own spoken\ arguments that align with the conventions of the podcast form. Music/sound/quotations should not exceed 20% of your total podcast.


You will be assessed on how well you:
¨ Address various aspects of the power of storytelling that is explored in Pride and Prejudice and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
¨ Analyse the effect of various text-specific language forms and features and structures within both texts.
¨ Explain and evaluate the similarities and differences between the two texts in terms of what and how they choose to communicate
ideas about ‘narratives that shape our world’.
¨ Incorporate multimodal features within your podcast intending to engage your audience.
