Hey everyone!
so its currently prelim season and im so very stressed bc im not allocating enough time for every one of my subjects
i have a to do list of:
Math adv: complete .....
Biology: complete ......
Chemistry: complete ......

but there is just not enough time in the day for me to study everything
im ESPECIALLY worried about economics and chemistry, i struggle a lot with chemistry and i dont get anything (even tho im currently top 5 i convinced its just pure luck, i just dont get the content) and considering my exam is next wedesday i dont have time to study everything again, i tried spamming past papers but i didnt even understand what the questions are asking bc im so cooked

for economics i also dont get the content, i dont struggle with it but everytime i study for it, i completely forget everything
my economics exam is 2 essays, 20 multiple choice and 20 marks worth of short answer all within 2 hours and idk how im gonna manage my time
similarly with chemistry, i tried to spam past papers but it was no use bc i didnt understand the questions (for mcq) and for short answer i didnt know the correct definitions

i also havent started studying for math ext AT ALL except im not TOO worried abt it (i can spam past papers) however it is the day before economics and i think ill have to sacrifice my 3u time for economics

guys please help, im so worried and stressed and idk how to approach this at all
im currently ranked 2nd in economics and 5th for chemistry so i would hate for my ranks to be dropped bc of my irresponsible time managment skills
[my exams for next week are: 2u math on monday, chem on wedesday, bio on thursday]

I highly recommend the keep it simple science booklets for chemistry , literally the only study I did before my prelim was read them for each module before the test and I aced it . They are good because they identify weaknesses + have worksheets attached covering the whole syllabus . Given the fact you say you just don’t get the content , this is probably the best way to learn in a short time

For Chemistry: I think you should look over any PowerPoints/slideshows that your teacher used to teach for all the modules for maybe 1-2 hours if you are still unsure about knowing the content and then look at past paper questions. If you aren't really bothered to properly attempt the question, putting pen to paper. What I did was for M/C, carefully think about your answer when attempting these (bc they usually trip people up), then check the solutions. For short answer, in your brain work out the steps that you think you need to take and then check what steps in the working out solutions, so you don't necessarily need to write out your working out and enter your calculations into the calculator. Saves a bit of time. Also when doing the questions, I heard from my teacher that it can be helpful to link the questions you are having difficulty with to the different dot points on the syllabus and recognise what module it is from

I don't have much that I can explain for this but I definitely recommend you do you school past papers before attempting other school's past papers.

Edit: Now im confused. have u done ur chemistry exam or no.... It says at the top of your post that you completed it but you also said your exam is on Wednesday.
Am i late? lmao

i dont have KISS for module 3, my teacher thinks they're useless so he didn't give us mod 3 but then after the whole class fought him, he gave us only mod 1, 2 and 4

thx!! its that i struggle with applying my knowledge, like i struggle w understanding it and then when i do, idk how to apply it for questions

oh no, the 'complete' means thats the way i was doing my to do list
(eg. Chemistry: complete Neap 2021, Fort St 2019 and Independent 2024)
but bc i was aiming to do 3 past papers for 2u math, chem and bio in one day it didnt work
