im not saying i dont agree that u should let go and rant but you need to set limits for urself, ranting all the time just makes u a whiner also let alone ranting your on here 24/7 download a website blocker its not good for u
ik but I just don't have anyone else to rant to cause if rant to people irl they'll get sick and tired of me. But this site is just too addicting lmao. But I swear I'm not always on here. And also like so many other people on here are on here 24/7 so I'm no the only one. So don't just say that to me lol. And yeah I just love projecting my insecurities on subjects I hate lol. And also if I block this website I'm gonna just procastinate on other sites, apps or literally anything, so yeah it won't really help much

And also why is NESA still stuck in the 20th century. Like make the hsc online already . And the worst part is that science ext is already online and apparently their gonna make Eng ext 1 online too so why don’t they make all the other exams online. Even NAPLAN is online. It’s like they purposely want to destroy the environment with how much paper they use
software engineering, and enterprise computing exams are all online this year too lol... I'm pretty sure its just a gradual rollout to iron out any problems with the system instead of jeopardising a whole year's hsc exams lol

My friend was talking about this the other day but how is it fair that math ext 1 kids compete with us kids who just does adv. Cause they know like better graphing techniques and other problem solving problems that they learnt in ext which they can use in adv. Like they already automatically take the first 10 ranks. And then English ext kids are just too good so can they just not compete with us adv kids for ranks. Like it's fine for them to take the course but they shouldn't be ranked against us

And also it doesn't make sense how in mx2, adv doesn't count but in ee2 it does

I can explain the math ext 2 vs eng ext 2 thing, basically the skills in math stack so technically in mxx they test you on stuff from advanced anyways

Eng ext 2 not only doesn't have an exam but also it technically doesn't test the skills taught in adv (e.g. if I do a critical essay I go through year 12 without needing to learn how to write a discursive)

Think about it this way - not everyone can do math ext 2, but technically anyone could do eng ext 2 at a somewhat markable standard even they cobbled together some random ChatGPT garbage into a creative
Obvi they're not gonna do well if they did that but if they could just skip eng adv, get the better scaling and put less effort then everybody is gonna be doing 4U eng

The metaphor I've heard is math ext 2 is like adding another floor on top of your house - it relies on a strong foundation - whereas eng ext 2 is like a grannyflat that's still on the same plot of land but could still stand even without the house

As for the ranking thing in my school at least the adv kids still put up a good fight for the top ranks, and wdym it's not fair? If they get the same rank in the HSC it's literally no different, like if somebody gets 1st internal and 1st external its basically the same as if they get 10th internal and 10th external with the exact same mark, heck the person who got 10th might even do better bc their internal gets moderated up more (I take ur point about ext math knowing more techniques though, that's fair)
I might be biased as an ext kid tho

yeah but the thing is that obv the ext kids are gonna be better so it's unfair that their gonna all rank higher than the kids who just do adv. Like imagine if the adv kids also did std. Like that would be unfair cause they would beat all the std kids. Like what they should do is let the ext kids compete against each other and their ranks for ext can be combined based on their adv and ext marks
