Hi everyone, my schools only software teacher left at the end of last term and doesn't have a replacement. We only have the software automation unit to go, and I am desperate for resources to teach myself from. I got a copy from my school of the SDD textbook but we only have copies from 2001 so... Anything else would be great, particularly around the more maths-y parts like linear regression. Anyone else had to proceed after a teacher abandoned them?

Im lowkey in the same situation except we got an external teacher from School of Now to take our class. Did your teacher give you access to eforge? It was somewhat useful in teaching us the syllabus content but your teachers have to buy it for you.

Have you checked the syllabus website? I haven't investigated every file here but some of them may be useful?

I do know, specifically, that the course specifications document devotes a full page just to regression algorithms! As well as some content from other parts of both the topic and course. If you haven't checked it out, definitely do so.


will it be in your trial? if not, I could try to share some of the content from my classes as I do it? Our trial doesn't include software automation so I won't have learned the content in time to help you

Do you know exact content that will be taught. For linear regression any standard machine learning course will cover it. Just to give one example Jose Portilla 44 hr course on data science on Udemy but it will cost a little bit of money. Freecodecamp also has material on data science which you can find on YouTube.

A good free resource on regression analysis is link pasted below. However it is quite advance and only covers some aspects and in R not Python:
