I'm quite conflicted. My economics cohort consists of only 17 people and currently I'm tied first. IDK if i should keep doing eco only because I'm first in the case that my rank is just due to the lack of competition. I enjoy economics as a subject but my teacher obviously doesn't enjoy the subject and mainly just reads off the board to us in a monotone voice while we copy off the board which is really distracting. I often find myself investing even more time outside of class just to relearn concepts that were scribbled down quickly during class.

For physics, The classroom environment is great and I look forward to every class however my ranking isn't that good (top 20) and I just got a 72% on my most recent exam thats weighed 15% of my total grade. The cohort is much larger and more competitve and I'm uncertain if I'll be able to climb back up.

I guess ultimately my question is whether I should drop economics and hope to climb back up for physics even though my rankings currently are subpar or drop physics and depend on my current rank and confidence for economics.

All opinions would be much appreciated 🙏 Thank you!

Check HSC Ninja for the band 6/state rank rate of Physics & Economics at your school and estimate based on your rank?

it seems like u enjoy both of them and are doing well?
i'd probably keep both for now unless the workload is too much, if it's not broken why fix it
