Hi, curious Y11 here. For the actual HSC exam (not the assessments) will the exam contain other texts that was not studied at school? Do I need to do critical studies of all prescribed texts ..? I'm pretty uninformed w the HSC in general

No, you focus only on your prescribed text studied in class.
In the HSC there may be a specific question for each prescribed text. Ignore all the other ones and just answer the one aimed at your text

Its not rly something you pick. Have a look at past papers like 2022. Theres a question for each prescribed text. Im doing King Henry, so i do ONLY the question under the subheading 'King Henry'. But for other past papers like the 2024 one, theres just 1 question for all the prescribed texts, and you answer with the text you studied in class.
