guys i'm in a bit of a pickle
i'm first in all my subjects & average in english adv
my rank for maths advanced is slightly above average, but i haven't done any study for trials and i'm about to go in without even having revised. i'm looking at like ~30-40% in the test which'll most likely drop my rank near the bottom 💀
my school historically doesn't pull b6s for maths adv, we usually get only 1 per year; my rank will put me in a really bad position even if i do well externally.
so, i was wondering - would it be a stupid decision to drop to standard math after trials and somehow learn all the content? (my trials end next week)

tldr i wanna drop 2u lmk what u guys think

hello Test Username,

how have you been doing for the rest of the advanced course? I do feel like it's probably a bad idea to drop, only 78 days until the HSC period begins...
I'm not 100% certain of the calculation processes, but in my opinion, if you study as much as you possibly can for the HSC, you could become an "outlier". This is assuming you've been performing well &/or have a good knowledge of the content in Advanced Maths.
What I'm trying to say is, if the only time you perform poorly is in the Trials, then you will have maximised your chances for success. It's not over yet!

Don't let a poor rank discourage you from doing your best in the HSC.

Hope this helps,
