Hey guys, I've read past threads and every single message about the HAST but I can't seem to find a single reliable practice site for the HAST test. I am currently in Year 9 looking for Year 10 Entry. I've tried in Year 7 but was unsuccessful.

I am currently in a partially selective school, looking to get into Penrith or Girraween High. I was just wondering what are my chances to actually make it in and if anyone could supply me with a reliable test site since the one I use selective trial isn't very similar to the real test style. I usually get around half A's some B's and one C. I am part of Karate, I have swimming certificates, Presentation Day Awards, NAPLAN top for every subject.

Hi, I'm also looking to get into Penrith or Girraween, but for year 8 entry. I don't think there are official practice papers for years 9-11, but if you did the HAST exam in year 7, can you please tell me approximately how many people applied for Penrith or Girraween? I just want to know how competitive the test really is.

does anyone know what a good score would be to get into Penrith high school through the HAST exam for year 8? Like the top 10%? Or can it be lower?

ye around top 10% but ive heard some ppl who've gotten top 15% for some subjects aswell get into penrith/girra. though acceptance also varies on a few other factors like extracurriculars, interviews, etc, doing well in HAST should be ur main priority.

Also, is there like a specific weighting on each subject? Like do they consider the results of some subjects more than others, or do they look at all subjects equally?

not sure, but i'd assume they'd consider your school reports aswell. for exmaple if you do poor in the maths HAST section, they may see your maths reports from school to determine if you're really "bad" at maths or not.
