Did a section just disappear off my profile settings? (1 Viewer)

i was just experimenting with the two "other" fields yesterday and i turned on to check today and they're gone? i can't remember exactly where it was but i'm 100% there were two fields i put something in called other

it must have been a crazy coincidence because i just checked my alt and its gone on there too?

I'm not aware of any changes to user profile fields

The "Other" fields are related to checkboxes about how you found the site, e.g. if the response isn't one of the pre-defined options.

i'm sorry? do you mean something i did just now or when i started the site?
i "filled" in those boxes if you could call it that i was just trying to see if i could get them to come up on my profile

Those fields are intended for data on registrations, so we know how people found the site and why they joined etc. They are not shown on user profiles, just used for user demographic details.

But it looks like it can be left empty (as it's an "Other" response) and can be set after registration once if it was empty, which is probably why it disappeared for you. But it would have been this way for years. We can possibly change it to only show on registration.
