we were told nesa recommends schools to have atleast 1 non-exam assignment to give a chance to those kids that dont perform well in exams (not sure if this is true though). only really had this for english in term 1 since everyones ass at english anyways. we had another component to the assignment too lol. for every other subject its exams upon exams

Bruh. Tell this to the English department at my school cause they never ever give hand in tasks. Even in junior years. But also I don’t really get the point of that non exam assignments rule anyways cause the hsc is gonna be an exam anyways so u may as well do exams to prepare for that
