does anyone know what type of questions Hurlstone might ask for yr 10 students interviewing for year 11 entry next yr?
This may not be much help as it didn't come from a hurlstone interview, but the obvious questions which revolve around the reasoning for choosing hurlstone, travel arrangements, etc.

They may also ask about future plans, study habits and more on your personal outlook and arrangement of study goals and plans.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned on here are curveball questions in the interviews. Some schools have all your reports and teacher letters; learning attributes, etc sitting next to the interviewer during the interview. My learning attributes were all lacking so they pressed me about that. Just remember if something negative stands out on your reports or documentation be prepared to find an excuse for it. I re read my reports and stuff the morning of the interview and I had a feeling they would ask me about learning attributes so I pre prepared an excuse.

Did NOT get into Manly, placed on waiting list :cold:. They said lack of spots, I placed like just outside top 10% overall, top 15% in everything except writing which I kinda sold. They have until end of term 2 next year to give me an offer???? Like wtf they gonna call me halfway through yr 11????
dude some schools just have kids leave randomly in year 11 so they call up shortlisted kids and chuck them in -- its honestly such an insane concept

Post Normanhurst interview:
Came in 5 minutes late because I forgot my ID at home, it ended up being okay because there just so happened to be a power outage and we blamed being late on that, they didn't seem to mind.

Was NOT given an offer on the spot, they claim that "Nothing's been finalised yet", I'm pretty sure this is code for "You're getting rejected".

Interview went pretty well imo, they seemed to like me and I answered truthfully without stuttering or anything. It was pretty short like maybe 8 minutes total.

Fingers crossed I guess

Is this year 11 if I remember correctly. Any outcomes for year8 if you know of? Thanks and hope you will get an offer very soon.

It was year 11, apparently nothing's decided, offers are likely to be made by end of this term or start of next. This is what they told my Dad and me
